Eat Local! You Can Do It!
Lemhi County Farmers’ Market recently hosted our first ever farm-to-table event on June 30th, 2012. Shannon Weaver of the Kitchen, with the help of her mother, Sharon Solaas, created a locally sourced meal in front of a market audience, with the goal of demonstrating how simple it is to create a complete & delicious meal using ingredients found at the farmers’ market. The menu was handmade ravioli, featuring 45 North Farm’s local artisan raw milk goat cheese, farm-fresh eggs, spinach, beets, Lemhi-grown whole wheat, as well as the perplexing and ubiquitous garlic scape!
