t’s Kid’s Day at the Lemhi County Farmers’ Market

.   The Lemhi County Farmers Market is hosting the Salmon Arts Council “Kids at the Market” this Saturday, June 20 at the Town Square Park from 9 am to 1 pm.  This is the first, in the series of three Kid’s Market Days.  Activities are planned by the Art’s Council and participating vendors as well.  Local talent will also be present to furnish the market with wonderful live music.

The Farmers’ Market is host to a wide range of food artisans and growers .  You will find freshly baked bread, burritos, pastries, fresh biscuits & gravy, tamales, cookies and pies.  Take home your freshly picked vegetables, herbs, fruit, honey, and a host of canned and baked goods to be enjoyed the whole week.  This is the time to get to know your local growers and ask questions about their techniques of growing.   Watch for a booth called “Know the Old Ways” for demonstrations on how to make your own household products.  Plus our vendors will be holding their own demonstrations at their booths.

So be sure to make a note on your list of things to do and visit the Lemhi County Farmers’ Market.  Read the Recorder-Herald and listen to Voice of the Valley for updates.  “Like” us on Facebook and view our website for updates.

The Lemhi County Farmers’ Market is reaching out to our neighbors to remind them that the SNAP cards are welcomed.  Please stop by the SNAP booth for complete details.

If you would like to become a member of the market, please call Julie Parker, Market Manager, at 208.993.1198 or email busy.4.juliep@gmail.com.

See you at the market!
